Teach basic evangelism, and lead your congregation in prayer for salvation for their neighbors and community.  Provide a “Salvation Top 10 Verses” handout, you can use this free link, create your own or purchase some tracts. 

The Gospel means good news, and there are a lot of hurting people right now that could use some good news!

Jesus said the two most important commandments are to love God and to love your neighbor. Teach your congregation to be available outside their home, walk their neighborhood and interact with their neighbors. Teach them to ask their neighbors if they could use some good news, share the gospel, and invite them to your church.

Jesus sent them two by two, so should you. Organize your most outgoing members as visiting teams. First, go to the homes immediately surrounding your church, say the first three blocks all around. Maybe you should go with them too. Second, add a few more blocks with more teams, and repeat. The teams could keep notes to review for repeat visits. Share the gospel with these people, ask to pray with them, and invite them to your church.

Jesus said in John 13:17, "If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them." Advertising basics teach that it takes at least 10 presentations to make a sale. It will likely take more than 10 interactions or visits to bring someone into the kingdom of God, and your church. So don’t be discouraged, keep it up, and remember you are storing great treasure in heaven when you bring a lost soul to salvation.

All of the above interactions will strengthen and increase the number of believers in your church. Teach evangelism nuggets and include a salvation message at each service.
